    1. 4.5 stars I enjoyed this YA romance a lot! There's a mysterious boy and an abandoned estate with a mysterious history. But that's not too much for over achiever Melinda Banner. Besides her work on various school committees and being editor of the school newspaper and just plain school work, Melinda can't stop thinking about mystery boy Connor or the Westerly estate. So of course she investigates. I found the mystery elements in this story compelling and page-turning. I was right there with Melin [...]

    2. The second book in the School Dayz series, this is my favorite so far. Melinda, Sadie's romantic rival from book one, is a smart, serious girl with goals. When her mom remarries, she moves into a virtual mansion where she's forced to adjust to a different way of life. Her relocation also puts her squarely in the path of mysterious Connor of the Woods, a boy she meets lurking in the forested area behind her stepfather's estate. Her best friend, Becca, begins dating Will, who pushes her to double- [...]

    3. **You can see this full review and more at Book Briefs: bookbriefs**My Junior Year of Loathing is the second book in the young adult School Dayz series by Jennifer DiGiovanni. Each of the books can be read as standalones. They each focus on a different couple, and as you can tell from the titles, this book focuses on a younger couple than the one in My Senior Year of Awesome. I feel confident that you can pick up this book and not be missing anything if you had not yet read the first book. Howev [...]

    4. Disclaimer: I received a free copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. This will not affect my review.I’ve been really looking forward to My Junior Year of Loathing for a long time since I loved its predecessor My Senior Year of Awesomeness so much! DiGiovanni’s debut was one of my favorite reads of 2017, and it’s one of my favorite light and fluffy YA contemporary reads (you can see why here). Because of that, I’ve had really high expectations for this book [...]
